The Worship and Music Ministry team works with the pastor and Director of Music Ministry to plan for the worship life of our church. We strive to create a liturgical life that is rich, lively and vital.
We plan and staff for acolytes, communion assistants, readers, worship leaders, soundboard operators, and ushers for:
- All Sunday worship services (both traditional and contemporary), and
- Special worship services including Midweek worships in Advent and Lent, Thanksgiving Eve, Christmas Eve and Easter.
We assist in enhancing the worship and music experiences of the church and our guests by:
- Planning special events like concerts and Advent activities,
- Providing devotional materials, and
- Helping to support our musical groups: Adult Choir, Contemporary Band, and Handbells.
Altar Guild
The Altar Guild changes the paraments and banners to reflect the liturgical calendar for each service. The Altar Guild also manages the ordering of supplies including candle oil and Communion wine.
Funeral Guild
The Funeral Guild assists the bereaved with contacting other members to make them aware of the funeral service and also assists with coordinating and serving condolence luncheons and teas in Fellowship Hall.
Wedding Guild
The Wedding Guild assists the bridal party with coordinating and serving celebratory receptions in Fellowship Hall.
