Music for Adults and Youth

Chancel Choir

Our Chancel Choir is our most prominent traditional ensemble and regularly offers musical presentations in worship. They sing choral music of a variety of styles and genres, and strive to support the lessons and sermon of the day in order to bring a musical perspective on God’s word. In addition to singing during the 11 A.M. service, they participate in special services on church holidays. Chancel Choir rehearses on Sunday mornings from 10 A.M. to 10:45 A.M. in the Music Room.

Contemporary Band

The contemporary band provides music and leads worship for the 9 A.M. contemporary worship service. Vocalists and instrumentalists alike seek to glorify God in the music they provide, and the music supports the lessons and sermon of the day. The band also participates in special services on church holidays. They rehearse Wednesday evenings beginning at 6 P.M.

Handbells

With each member responsible for playing a few bells in turn, the handbell choir is truly an example of 1 Corinthians 12:12- many parts, but one body. They regularly offer musical pieces during the 11 A.M. worship service and on church holidays. The handbell choir rehearses on Monday evenings beginning at 6:15 P.M.

Instrumental Ensembles

Our instrumental ensemble is made up of volunteers and includes a variety of wind, brass, and string instruments. They accompany our hymns and liturgy on church holidays. Many of our instrumentalists often accompany the choir or handbells at other parts of the year as well.
